This could mean your port "80" is already in use. Skype is a common culprit of this; if this is the case, take a look at the Options > Advanced > Connection settings. You can define whether you want Skype to use that port in that portion of Skype settings!

This is true, but on Localhost it would say Skype is running.

Have you checked Teamviewer? Teamviewer is also a culprit.

Indeed.

ALSO try installing and re-installing or use an older version of Xampp, they are more secure. I recommend build 1.7.3..
