There's so many coins I've never heard of this one. I don't understand how there can be so many. What makes this one promising?

I presume the hype around it is due to the name. Kodak.
Which was a failed Photography business that flopped due to bad business moves.

Kodak Coin isn't just another altcoin, what's special about what Kodak is doing is they are making a system through a secure blockchain network where photographers and what not can upload their work where it can't be stolen, people can then buy their work using Kodak Coin. So basically what it is, is kind of like a stock photo and video service. Except this one, is near impossible to breach. This will stop A LOT of copyright. The system will also web crawl and look for your work which has not been paid for and remove it. It's pretty cool stuff!

Failed Photography business? You know Kodak has been around for 130 years right? They filed for bankruptcy like 6 years ago... I think 130 years is a successful photography business. And if KodakOne and Kodak Coin go as good as what people are claiming, Kodak will be riiiiiiiichhhhhhhhh affffff.

I have yet to find any reputable source say anything good about Kodak Coin, but either way I'm not interested.

I just hope this raises their stock, so I make money off that :)

130 years in business or 10 years.

It still flopped due to a bad business move. Regardless of how many successful years it had.

"Which was a failed Photography business" <-- implying it was a failed photography business all along and not from poor business decisions.

Photography -> Camera.
The photography industry, I used it as a general term for what they specialised in.
Either way the failure was due to a bad business move of holding digital photography cameras.
Who dominates the photography market?
Sony, Canon, Nikon.
The search results show companies/competitors of Kodaks business nature.

This whole Kodak Coin defines a business extension strategy.
Let's be honest, they're simply trying to keep a name.
