Noob question!! Haha

I have never used wordpress before hence the reason i have the following question.

Is it insecure?

Some say its exploitable, however others say its the plugins (not all but some people make to exploit it) which cause the exploits.
Anyone have views on it?

Non at the minute, im debating whether to get it or not

Some bits (Admin login) is exploitable, I've forgot how. I think the latest one has fixed that.
