[Help] MySQL Database Access Problem

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows how I can set up access to my MySQL database using Navicat on my PC.

Basically on my VPS running Windows Server 2008 R2, I can go into Navicat and access my database, but I want to be able to access it on my PC using Navicat.

U tried using the VPS IP, my MySQL username and Password for the connection, but i'm getting an Access Denied for my PC.

Anyone know how I can set this up so this works?

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON databasename.* TO mysqlusername@’YOURIPADDRESS’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘mysqlpassword’;

Replace databasename, mysqlusername, YOURIPADDRESS, and mysqlpassword.

You can, but just go on Navicat on the VPS and run that query. Yes, IPv4
