Thanks for the good feedback :D

@ the other day, the FBI took our website down but luckily we have some highly experienced guys behind the scene (which we call Habbo Hackers) and managed to get it us back without much struggle.
I find it weird how the Federal Bureau of Investigation would upload an image to the website - the seized message that was on your website. Also, a habbo hacker going against the FBI? I find that hard to believe as well. But who knows, this world is fucked as it is.

Yeah dude, our guys are fearless. Habbo Hackers or not they'll do anything they're asked! It's took us several years to form the perfect team of Habbo Hackers and it's paid off well.

Never knew you had to be a hacker to remove a <img src=""> on a web page. Damn, consider me a hacker then because I do that daily!
Yah they managed to do it without any server access too! If you can do that then feel free to apply for Trial Moderator and after you finish your training you'll be able to specialise into the Habbo Hacker area.

Ah ok. I just found it strange since I've been away from retros for awhile and went directly to findretros and saw boon wasnt at the top then I went to your site and saw your still going strong.

Writing this lengthy piece of crap to benefit others, help them learn how we changed our advertising technique, I'm not slating FindRetros - it just simply doesn't work for us.

We were losing users from it, rather than gaining. We were just supplying it with users, gaining 4,500+ votes daily, yet the Alexa traffic (unreliable to an extent, I know), showed that FR had 40% of search visits from Habboon, and 38% of traffic from Habboon.

Soon as we got rid of it and did some SEO, we managed to pull 9,000 daily on analytics, a month and a bit on, we're now doing almost 10,000 sessions per day and 11,500 sessions on average per weekend.

I think FindRetros is both good and bad, but for us - it was proven to be useless. Also, a good portion of users (ok, maybe 10%) don't like FindRetros, or having to vote. But ever since going our own way our new visitor percentage is 15.7%, it was about 10% before.

You can notice the large dip from us leaving, both in the graph and the tags. The old upstream sites are now only 9.2% from Boon, it used to be about 40%(maybe higher, most I saw it was at 40%).

Honestly once your as well known as habboon theres no reason to be on findretros. The top hotel on find retros only gets 10% of habboons player count anyways.

Looks unique. I pop on occasionally to play Fast Food. Habboon has always been good when it comes to daily events and weekly competitions.

Best of luck

Hey,

Rocky weekend for us, but we managed to get in some long needed changes to the backend.
  • Optimised the database a little.
  • Moved our 11 repositories to our own Gitlab server.
  • Upgraded our web box.
  • Dropped CF pro, no idea why we were still paying.
  • Put our SWFS in a repository and now serve them via a London & NYC server, no longer from our crappy IIS.
  • Moved the furnidata, external variables, external flash texts, external override variables & external override flash texts to the database.
  • Setup automatic deployment for CMS & SWFs.
Got a bit more to do, including setting up our sandbox hotel, a portal for deploying everything for less techy staff and moving figuredata to the database.

We have an event planned for the 24th of October, that will last 2 weeks.

Boring, but fun!

Figure I'll update this thread, our Christmas stuff is now live (well, has been since 1st of December). I've probably missed a ton, but too much effort to through Git.
- Christmas theme is live.
- Christmas hotel view is live.
- We've enabled the advent calendar.
- Users get a badge each day for logging in.
- Our Santa bot has made a return.

Along side that, we've been working on a ton behind the scenes.

BoonCMS Beta:
- Rewrote most of the CMS, functions a lot differently - both in terms of the backend & frontend code (inc. the way its compiled).
- Every single gamedata asset is now database held (figuredata, productdata, furnidata, variables, texts & overrides).
- Rewrote the entire housekeeping - this now makes moderation so much easier & general hotel management a breeze, we've added almost everything to the housekeeping now (badges, badge texts, client external variables, texts, overrides, figuredata, furnidata, catalog editor, etc).

Emulator:
- Constantly been working on rewriting/refactoring Plus and making it run nice, as we seem to be growing in users again.
- The delay on 'Show Message' wired effect now works.
- Changed the bot bubble from 34 to 2 on communication wired effect boxes.(edited)
- Fixed an issue with teleporters where you'd go to the hotel view if stood on a teleporter (or arrow).
- Added delay a Join/Leave team.
- Fixed an issue with Execute Stacks not being able to triggered by certain triggers.
- Moved catalog purchase logging to a seperate table.
Added :botrotate <name> command.
- Implemented AFK time tracking so we can use it with the leaderboards.
- Implemented giving commands to specific users.
- Fixed an issue where setting max users to 75 would revert to 50 via room settings.
- The client logout button now works as normal again.
- When placed, bots will now go to the correct square in custom room maps (e.g, no longer drop below on higher up tiles).
- When placed, a bots default rotation is now 4.
- 'Tile FX Provider' is now a functional furniture.
- Improved the :pickall command, roller bugs will no longer occur.
- Added GOTW leaderboards, using Wired.
- Terminal Infolinks are now supported.
- Improved the :pickall command, roller bugs will no longer occur.
- Users can now use :eventrequests (no staff messages are shown).
- You can now use :eha in anyroom
- SFX furni now work.
- Made changes to football shooting
- Fixes to Join Team wired
- Improved chase method for Move Furniture Towards and Away from user.
- Fixed an issue with Room Bundles not stacking things properly
- Fixed the issue with rooms not loading on creation
- Slight fix to Freeze tiles (50% of the time the interacting users wouldn't be reset, still partially buggy).
- Fixed a search issue on group members, marketplace and the navigator (the string would search for words containing the query, and not beginning with).
- Fixed an issue where users with rights / group rights would have to ring the doorbell to enter a room (but not actually ring it).
- Fixed an issue where users with rights / group rights wouldn't get doorbell notifications.
- Fixed an issue where users with rights / group rights couldn't accept / decline doorbell requests.
- Doorbell queue should now automatically update to each room right holder.
- The doorbell no longer shows for staff, they're pushed through to the room instantly.
- You can now stand directly on a group gate. Yes this is a pointless 'fix'.
- Managers can now sell anyroom, using the same command.
- Room kicking via command or mod tool will no longer kick the room owner
- Improved delete room event.
- On rights removal, furniture (if any) held by the rights holder will be ejected.
- On banning a user from a room, if they have rights their rights will be revoked.
- On group deletion, items held by group members will be removed from the room and returned to their owner.
- Improved the :pickall command.
- Improved :ejectall command, if used by a room owner, everything is ejected. If used by someone with furniture in the room, only their items are ejected.
- On leaving a group (as admin), you will be removed from the group (previously, you had to leave twice).
- On leaving a group as an admin, your items will be ejected.
- On taking a group admins rights, their items will be ejected.
- Users now get 1 diamond per hour aslong as they are not AFK.
- Bronze VIP get 5 diamonds, Silver VIP get 10 diamonds, and Gold VIP get 15 diamonds per hour.
- Improved Anti AFK to not unidle if the same message is used in the past 10 lines.
- Removed Hourly Diamonds, instead added rewards for consecutive logins.
- You get 10 diamonds for every 2 days you login consecutively.

Discord:
- Working on moving our staff team to Discord, in an attempt to do this we've made it so warnings, mutes, name changes, declines & events all automatically push to channels.
- Our Discord bot has been improved to automatically detect staff ranks & update when needed, we've also had to force account linking due to the Discord server growing constantly.

Probably one of the only hotels that can compare to Habbo throughout all seasons.

Haven't really got much hotel updates, but we've been working on improving our Discord bot. We're forcing our staff team to move to Discord on the 25th of December.
  • Updated Discord bot to the v6 Discord API.
  • Improved automated role-checking & username updating (to match Habboon).
  • Accounts not associated with a Habboon account can no longer talk in the public voice chats.
Previously, staff would type in the Skype chat when they've... warned someone, muted someone, changed a name, declined a name changed or started an event. We've automated this process.
  • Warnings & cautions from the hotel now automatically go to the warnings text channel.
  • In-game mutes from the hotel now automatically go to the mutes text channel.
  • Name changes now automatically go to the name-changes channel, declines go to the name-change-declines channel.
  • Events now feed through to the events channel.
We've made two staff chats, one text channel that is used solely on Discord, and another which fetches Habboon staff alerts through to Discord, staff can also reply back & it'll automatically go to the game.

We've really done well with building our Discord, and I look forward to seeing staff actively using it. Right now, we have about 15 staff members who use it actively. Staff are able to quickly help users on here due to the support channels, trade channels and so on.

Hey, nothing related to the hotel, but just figured I'd get a message out.

Seeing too much bullshit going around;
  • I do not, and will not sell anyone Habboons' emulator, nor any kind of work.
  • Regarding a leak, our emulator and CMS was 'leaked' in 2016, when Hayden joined temporarily as Bren had no one else. He simply took a copy for himself, this was early 2016. Since then our emulator has been improved 20 times over, along with the fact that we no longer use RevCMS, nor that SWF setup as our SWFs are built into our CMS for the most part.
  • Check the revision, check the feature set, compare the room loading & everything else to Habboon. It's old and useless.
  • There is no Plus R3, by me - other than the Git below.
Please stop messaging me on Discord and the forums about two invalid points. The emulator Hayden has from Habboon is no better than Plus r2, hence me not caring each time someone chooses to message me.

Only a couple people know this, but in my spare bored time I've been refactoring and correcting the emulator publicly, I've been going by the codestyles, and it is public & has been for a month now.

Check the commits, I've been tidying up code issues, but for the most I've been cleaning the code. The rooms now load faster on that version. And I'll continue to work on that when I'm bored.
