There's literally no information or article about it but an image, it's probably false information, but:

I heard they we're in developmental coding this back in 2013 to one day save Sulake more money by sacking their staff and only keeping the important people such as the developer (Macklebee). Either way its a smart and shit idea. Smart because 1. less money that Sulake have to pay for wages and will save the company a few more years. Shit because 1. the new system will eventually fuck up and no one would be able to appeal against it unless they actually keep their support team which is REALLY HIGHLY UNLIKELY!

Yes this is true. Habbo has fired all of it's moderators and put a automatic moderation system... People decided that since no one can moderate rooms they shall open their casinos back up... Hmm.

I'm not entirely sure how this works as there always needs to be at least a small team of people looking over reports etc.

I understand how they've created a system that works on keywords and phrases to automatically sanction you though, I guess that's pretty cool. A lot of users are being punished for gambling as they're repeating the similar phrases which will eventually lock your trading, so..

You would of thought they would of tested their new system with actual mods before going through with firing everyone. Like try a day without mods, then a week. See the effects, then a month. You don't sack them all only to come crawling back to them. Or turn them part time if anything?

Had to be deployed before the developer quit working for Sulake most likely. Budget issues everywhere as it dies

why modding is an actual job is beyond me... why cant they just hire trusted and dedicated users to moderate habbo? kinda like hobbas back in the day

I agree with you
Hobba's weren't fully ranked moderators, I think they could just mute/warn people like Ambassador's do. Player support and moderation, handling and dealing with problems is a real job, they probably wanted professional and real responses from real staff, not just a player.

I still think they should have at least 1 or 2 mods to review serious cases / deal with all the spamming that has been going on

Stupid idea because no automated system can think like a human and make decisions IE such as who to mute? Who to ban? Yes it can determine racism, bullying by chats etc but what about child predators? Actual long term bullying? Scamming? People will find away around the system. A automated system can not determine a response from that particular report, it needs to be looked over and assessed by a real professional. It will save money for having its moderators but it’ll just be loosing even more money from law suites from parents and authorities for lack of safety for their children.
