F# is a language from Micro$oft (yes, the very same M$ that brought you wonders such as windows vista, windows 10, internet explorer, activex, vba, vb.net...)
It's designed primarily as a functional language (if you haven't heard of functional languages, go look them up, very nice), BUT, it interops very nicely with the .NET runtime, so you can use VB.NET and C# alongside F# code!

Check it out here:
Good tutorials here:

I've been playing around with it recently and it's a breath of fresh air compared to stuff like Java, JS and C#

A few big boys like Credit Suisse use it in their applications. It's even been used to balance the generation schedule for the UK power station fleet ( ) (Blog link here -> )

I don't really have a need for it but sounds like Micr$oft's Kotlin lol.

I haven't picked up a new language in quite some time, considered Go and/or Rust recently.

It's more like the MS equivalent of Scala

Rust seems a bit pointless unless you're doing systems programming
