So, Sorry if this is the wrong section :L But...
I added my sub domain, then edited the ip to my Minecraft servers ip, I was wondering if the sub domain
would work on the Minecraft client.

1and1.com
Domain Host.

Its propagated. Now it won't work.
What are you doing to check to see if it is working properly?

If you ping sub.domain.com and it resolves your Minecraft server IP, then it should work just fine. I did this once for my Quake III server (play.clandynasty.com) and it resolved to our server. We didn't have to specify a port because it was running on the default q3 port (27960).

As ecko said, once you set the A record to your server's IP, you can ping it and check, or if your IP also has a webserver (such as Apache) installed you can just enter the subdomain into your address bar.

An alternative is to try to connect to the subdomain.

My port is like 25530 or something (un-normal) because of my host daddycheese.
