Client Is Very Laggy

So me and my friend have made a retro and the client is working fine but its laggy and we don't know why we are on hamachi running a holo emu, we don't know if its the emu or the hamachi thats causing us to lag so badly.. :l could anyone help us please?

Using a localhost connecting, with Holo EMU (which is very outdated) can cause a lot of lag, yes.

is there a more recent Holo EMU we could use that would reduce the lag? we a currently thinking of getting a VPS
