Nope just one loser trying to tell this loser that because his frequency on his FX is higher than my i5, he has a superior cpu.
But what he didn't consider was:
- His fx has horrible TDP and consumes like 200-300w (

- 32 nanometer technology on FX < my 22 nanometer tech on i5
- He has 8 cores, 6 threads compared to my 4 cores, 4 threads, but i still out perform him in single core benchmarks everytime.
- Piledriver (2012) < Haswell (2013-2014)

And to this day, he still didn't admit that we are right.

I respect AMD, i'm taking shots at the fanboy.

My favorite AMD product currently is the xfx rx 480, really great OC and corrected tdp. I probably would't use an amd cpu however.

I think this thread was posted prior to the zen launch but idk. But i'd have to agree, ryzen is kicking ass rightnow.
I believe the i5 7640x or whatever it's called is directly on par with the ryzen 5 1600 (not even the x version either)

AMD is doing hella good with Ryzen, and considering how the infinity fabric allows for easy core expandability Threadripper will be good as well, it'll be cool to see a decent 16 core 32 thread CPU from the red team.

The only thing AMD lacks is high-end GPUs, Vega seems like it's going to be on par with a 1080, it's honestly a shame they couldn't get closer to a 1080ti at a decent price point. The RX 580 is still a very viable mid-range GPU, it destroys a 1060 at a cheaper price.
