404 page help

Ok so im a bit confused when i type something on my site that is not there it brings me to my host

And since its a free host its a bit awkward i want my site to redirect to a 404 page when an unknown
address is typed but i have no idea how to, any help please.

use .htaccess

ErrorDocument 404 /404.php

add a htaccess file in your root directory.
with this content:

ErrorDocument 404 404.html

then create your custom 404 design in 404.html in root directory
