Ubuntu is really great at first but once you find out that there is a huge lack of software you really won't last long. If you want to try it just dual boot it, I use it to compile Android Kernels and thats about it. I mostly use Windows.

In most motherboards their BIOS have the ability to permanently make the fans run at 100%. That will most likely solve your heating issues but may open the door to fan issues in the future. (100% RPM all the time will deduce the fan's life)

Why is it so hard to understand that Adam and Eve did not exist! Science has proved evolution. If Science has proved wrong one of the most important parts of the Christian Book.. or whatever doesn't that tell you something?
