You'll have to look up a tutorial on how to portforward with your specific router, you can find multiple tutorials for possibly your router here - http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ once you've found the tutorial forward a specific port and it should all be fine :)

fixed, just getting a white client now though. i've checked ext variables etc and client.php and changed web build but it didn't change anything.

That's your images, the topstory images directory is probably wrong. Locate the /me page or /news (i'm not sure on that cms) and edit the topstoryimages directory to the correct one :)
