For a first layout I think this looks really good, maybe soften the corners and indent some of the text. My favourite is the green with Ubuntu font ;)

You have a lot of tabs open on your Laptop as-well, very untidy...

In Scotland we go straight from school to university, as it lasts four years rather than 3 as it does in England. Most people in England go to College before going to Uni. I'm currently in sixth year studies.

I'm guessing atleast one or two of our residents here at DevBest from the UK have applied to university and hence have written a personal statement. Well, I'm currently in the process of writing my personal statement and to be quite frank - it's nigh impossible to make it sound good without...
