I'm not familiar with that symbol of money (it's not on my keyboard), quick rundown:
Resolution: 1920x1080 is what you want, higher = better
Size: Smaller is better, how far away are you planning on being from your screen? Dark environment? I'd recommend a 24", at 1920x1080 (AKA 1080p), because Wess did.
Viewing angle: viewing from this amount of angle from the screen, the screen gets looks dark/funky.
Response Time: Less than 10ms is best, lower is better.
Panel: IPS/PLS is better, means better color
People often over look the fact that VGA is being aged out, if you use VGA, a new monitor may not support it. Same goes with DVI.

I personally like ViewSonic's but you'll have to find something similar at a shop that ships to you. Feel free to PM me with links to ones you may be interested in buying and I can go over with you what you're buying, in detail.

If your desk has a "lip" i'd recommend getting a clamp on desk VESA mount, the Viewsonics I recommended in my other reply, supports VESA. this is a dead simple install too:

I use those at work

That's what I use at home. I like those because I switch monitors, and orientation frequently. The rosewill is good for a onetime setup, that's rigid. Vivo's is good for dynamic environment (so long as the chance of the monitor being bumped is low, otherwise someone will fuck it up all day, which is why I use rosewill's at work)
