What are your guy's thoughts on Ripple?
It has been around awhile now, and the value is still so low, will it ever go anywhere?

If you look at other crypto-currencies such as BTC, they were once at <$0.10 - But Ripple doesn't seem to be moving!

What are your thoughts? Is Ripple just at an early stage of a long life, or is it flopp(ing)(ed)

I was just about to make a thread on here, ATH is on the way.

Ripple just hit 32p! I've made £100+ from Ripple today. It definitely will be moving, it isn't like the other cryptos. The pricing is competitive between the banks, you also cannot mine it.

Yeah I guess he is right, but you could call Bitcoin centralised with a good 50+ percentage of Chinese miners 'controlling' Bitcoin.

This is exciting, we could hit $1 soon! Damn, crazy to see the growth. Currently at $0.80.

When ripple was at $0.17 is when I first heard about it. I transfered $50 from LTC on coinbase to bitstamp, and I lost it. Never again will use bitstamp. I didn't get my money back unfortunately and that sucks cause I would have a couple hundred as Ripple just hit $3.00 today within minutes.

Same ^ I had just heard about Ripple when it was around the 17 cent mark as well, and I tried to buy it, but there were just too many hoops that I had to jump through so I ended up giving up. I wish I would have gotten in early! Great profits for XRP holders.

I know I'm reviving a dead(ish) thread that was last posted in two months ago, but I really am disappointed in Ripple, if I'm honest.

I invested when it was low (800 coins at $1.07), watched it skyrocket, and then dribble back down to a meagre $0.70... I'm not the kind of guy that will sell at the first sight of bad news, but it's frustrating losing $300 on Ripple after investing just short of $900.

I agree it sucks to see the gains wiped away, but that's the game. I also hold ripple (118) and watching a $400 USD go away sucks. Next time I'll be sure to sell when it peaks and try and buy back in the next dip like everyone else.
I haven't given up on the coin myself however as they have a clear path for Ripple and it will only be a matter of time before other major business adapt and begin using XRP.

I agree. However I feel like it's gonna sit low for a long time, then shoot up dramatically for a short time. My father actually used to work on the stock exchange, and he said the safest (not necessarily the best, mind) time to sell is JUST after it's come off slightly off a recent high.

I'm not gonna sell the next time it peaks. I feel inclined to wait it out - ride the wave.

Oh, interested to see the 'clear path'. I kind of actually forgot about my Ripple until today, but I get constant price updates and haven't had an alert go off recently, so I know I haven't been missing much. I'll do some more research into this 'clear path' you talk about. Sounds interesting.

If you have some extra cash why not? If you don't then obviously don't buy in. You should never invest money you can't afford to lose
I completely agree. I have seen friends of mine do that and in the end it always comes back in the end to get them. I will definitely look into it and see where I end up. I guess it does not hurt to try in the end.
