My votes haven't went up from 108 for the past 6 hours. We've had quite a few new users since then.

I just voted and it went up to 109.. is there an issue with findretros or something?

Might have been because Josh has been moving servers, not sure if he moved FindRetros too. In that case, votes aren't processed. Another reason might be that the users already voted, or the IPs using to vote were blacklisted.

Seems odd since other hotels haven't had an issue with their votes being randomly frozen.

Cheers anyway!

It's currently not working due to what appears to be DDoS protection kicking in on FindRetros, our script doesn't make people vote but going direct still works. If this is going to be a permenant thing we'll need to remove that check I guess @bigdawg

We're using the "API" linked on the help page:

What changes need to be made to work with the new server?

In the case it returns the 5 second waiting page, there's nothing you can do about this. Josh has to change this within the Cloudflare rules. I don't expect this to happen again, so I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes FR might be down, sadly nothing that can be done about that. However, you could modify the script so it doesn't set an "has voted" cookie, but rather one that skips the voting untill it's back online.

It seems up right now and users aren't being redirected to vote, or is something going on still?

Because when FindRetros is offline, the script sets the same cookie as when they have voted. So you'll have to force remove the cookie or disable the check or something.

The issue is that FindRetros had "Under Attack" mode on, meaning any requests made to check if a user has voted via the proper domain were blocked. If you were still running legacy code, it'd check outdated domains (that are still supported), and redirect the user to FindRetros.
